WOW Recruitment is seeking an experienced Finance and Business Manager for our established client in Sydney Our client is a luxury homewares brand with multiple locations across Australia and a strong online presence

As a Business & Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing all internal accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting on performance, cash flows, and budgeting. As a key figure in the business, you will oversee all aspects of operations to ensure the efficient running and profitability of the company, contributing to its long-term success and growth.

What you will be doing?

  • Maintain and manage weekly, monthly, 6-monthly and annual cashflow projections
  • Maintain and manage monthly, 6-monthly and annual purchase budgets
  • Half yearly reports
  • Annual reports
  • Overview of Company profitability through maintenance of sales margins, purchases and costs control
  • Liaise with external Accountants on ad hoc matters and End of Financial Year preparation.
  • Liaise with the ATO via the Business Portal and phone where necessary
  • Build and maintain relationships with International and Local Suppliers
  • Build and maintain regular communication with Store Managers & Staff.
  • Monitor, prepare and maintain current and future Business loans and Government  Grants where applicable.
  • Maintain Business Insurance and Workers Insurance Australia wide.
  • Prepare, lodge and maintain Workers Insurance claims with discretion if they arise.
  • Review contracts relating to New Supplier agreements or Financial Products.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • CPA or CA certification preferred.
  • 5 + years of experience in accounting, financial management, or a similar role.
  • Experience working autonomsly in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in Xero & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
