Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join our team at WOW Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing all internal accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting on performance, cash flows, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage weekly, monthly, 6-monthly, and annual cash flow projections to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Maintain and manage monthly, 6-monthly, and annual purchase budgets to optimize resource allocation.
  • Prepare and submit half-yearly and annual reports to stakeholders, highlighting key financial performance indicators.
  • Oversee company profitability through the maintenance of sales margins, purchases, and costs control.
  • Liaise with external accountants on ad-hoc matters and End of Financial Year preparation.
  • Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) via the Business Portal and phone to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with international and local suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with store managers and staff to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Monitor, prepare, and maintain current and future business loans and government grants where applicable.
  • Maintain business insurance and workers' insurance across Australia.
  • Prepare, lodge, and maintain workers' insurance claims with discretion if they arise.
  • Review contracts relating to new supplier agreements or financial products to ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA certification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or a similar role.
  • Experience working autonomously in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
