As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Human Resource Advisor to support their mission and ensure the smooth operation of their HR functions.
Position Overview:
They are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Human Resource Advisor to join their Geelong-based childcare company. In this role, you will provide critical HR support, ensuring compliance with childcare industry regulations and advising both management and staff on HR-related matters. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining a positive, compliant, and effective work environment that supports the development of our staff and the children we care for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise management and employees on HR policies, childcare industry regulations, and employment laws.
- Develop, implement, and update HR strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and the unique needs of the childcare sector.
- Conduct workplace inspections to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
- Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and grievance handling.
- Support recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding for childcare staff.
- Coordinate professional development and training programs for staff to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor and update HR activities to reflect changes in legislation or industry practices.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work culture focused on employee well-being and engagement.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and childcare industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise and influence staff at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards, particularly within a childcare setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management software.
Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 + superannuation
