About the role:

A highly rewarding opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our Senior Placements Administrator

The Senior Placements Administrator undertakes the full range of administrative activities to support student placements with employers. They are supported by the Placement Administration Manager to negotiate placement contracts with employers and execute individual contracts for students. They are responsible for all logistics, including placement contracts, placement bookings, documentation, communication with students and employers, student records, reporting, and compliance documentation using InPlace student management system.

Their key accountabilities are to negotiate and implement successful and compliant placement contracts, achieve student and employer satisfaction by providing effective placement administration management, ensuring that placements are both complaint and appropriate. 

They work as part of a team of Senior Placement Administrators and Placement Admin Officers who undertake these administrative activities and liaise with Course Coordinators and Teachers to ensure that the placement process is efficient and effective. They are responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across the Box Hill Institute and liaising with relevant external stakeholders.
This role is fixed term until October 2025. Salary is PACCT 5 $70,012 per annum (exclusive of superannuation).

About You:

  • Relevant vocational qualification highly regarded
  • Experience in preparation of documents, record keeping and handling administrative enquiries
  • Ability to respond to internal and external client needs promptly and to follow through on inquiries, request, and complaints in a timely manner
  • Experience in working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve team goals, including excellent organisational skills, flexibility during peak periods, and ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential
  • A high level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing high quality, accurate correspondence and reports to stakeholders
  • Ability to use all MS Office applications proficiently for a range of tasks including generating letters, reports and database management is essential
  • Knowledge of information management systems including InPlace,PlaceRight, InPlace Network, SONIA, Student One, and Finance One is highly advantageous
  • Ability to develop and maintain knowledge to ensure placements meet governance, program, employer, and student requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and show initiative, using judgement to consult where appropriate and take responsibility for own action
