About us
Court Services Victoria (CSV) was established on 1 July 2014 as an independent statutory body corporate that provides administrative and expert support to Victoria's system of self-administered courts. CSV provides support services to the Supreme Court, the County Court, the Magistrate's Court, the Children's Court, the Coroner's Court, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, and the Judicial Commission of Victoria, which are collectively known as 'Courts Group'. CSV's purpose is to ensure that Courts Group is independent, sustainably resourced, and supported to deliver justice and safeguard Victorians' trust in the rule of law.
CSV's support to jurisdictions entails financial and asset management, human resources, procurement, information and communication technology, and some professional services. These services are delivered centrally from CSV and from within each court, based on the unique needs of each court. CSV leads this connected practice of administrative support across Courts Group along with a portfolio of multi-jurisdiction major projects. CSV's efforts are guided by Courts Executive, which is a key management and leadership group comprised of Court CEOs and senior CSV executives.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Corporate and Strategy Officer, the Executive Director User Experience Data and Insights, will be responsible for leading the User Experience and Data and Insights functions in support of innovation and the provision of high-quality information and insights to assist fact-based decision-making across the Courts Group. The role will be a key contributor to initiatives emanating from the Strategic and Innovation Project Committee which has a key focus on the court user experience, stewarding an end-state vision for a courts wide approach across, technology, venues and court users.
The role requires extensive experience as a leader in the provision of expert and strategic advice, and achievement in the formulation and implementation of strategies, plans and initiatives designed to deliver successful organisational outcomes within a complex government operating environment.
About you
You will be an experienced leader in the UX and Data space who fosters collaboration and innovation and has a proven record in developing high-performing teams. You will have the skills and experience to build and sustain the capability to ensure the integration of the user experience and needs into court design and operations.
You will have the drive and cut through to lead the delivery of shared solutions across court-user services, technology and venues.
You will have experience in establishing of a centre of excellence in data analytics, modelling, and research, management of the service offering and building sustainable capability over time to become a trusted source of advice and evidence about court demand and performance.
You will maintain and grow collaboration/partnership opportunities with external bodies to develop a body of research to strengthen understanding of user needs to continue to inform/support continuous improvement across the Courts Group. You will actively identify emerging issues and opportunities with respect to future technologies to support shared solutions and innovation for courts and court users.
