Role summary

UX Researchers own end-to-end planning, execution, analysis and reporting of research projects, and consistently achieve research outputs needed by Product teams to inform strategic decisions. The research findings inform product design, user experience, product direction, market strategy or similar, contributing to Agoda's business success.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates critical thinking beyond explicit business requests
  • Functions independently in all operational research tasks
  • Leads core end-to-end research activities – including driving research objectives, hypotheses, methodology, execution, analysis, and communication
Qualifications
  • Master Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains
  • Comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research
  • Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methods (interviews, diary studies, direct observation, usability testing, etc.)
  • Experience with quantitative research (metrics, surveys, sampling, statistics)
  • Experience in evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors
  • Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to a variety of stakeholders using both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills; fluency in English
  • Collaborative work style in a dynamic, data-driven environment
  • Knowledge of data compliance and ethics in research activities
