Join Amazon's Retail Team in Sydney and become a vital part of our mission to revolutionize the shopping habits of Australians. We are currently hiring passionate individuals for Category Manager roles in Office Products, Softlines (Handbags and Sunglasses), Kitchen and Sports & Outdoor.

As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our product range and ensuring the best shopping experience for our customers. You will have the opportunity to drive growth in our categories by persuading both international and local Australian brands to join Amazon.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Convincing brands to partner with Amazon and contribute to our fast-paced growth phase.
- Acting as a proactive "hunter" to bring in diverse brands and products.
- Serving as a customer and category advocate within Amazon.
- Utilizing your strong negotiation and analytical skills to establish and maintain successful vendor relationships.
- Demonstrating commercial knowledge and experience in driving business objectives.
- Effectively prioritizing and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Excelling in project management with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborating with important partners, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Being an effective communicator and building strong relationships.

Our team operates out of our fabulous CBD office (conveniently located near many transportation options).

Key job responsibilities
- Conducting data analysis to understand key performance indicators and developing action plans based on insights.
- Driving actions and initiatives to improve the customer experience within assigned categories/projects.
- Collaborating with suppliers and various internal stakeholders such as supply chain, marketing, and project management to drive projects.
- Negotiating commercial terms and promotional activities with suppliers to drive business results.
- Developing and executing strategies to maximize business profitability and expansion opportunities.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
- Monitoring industry trends and staying updated on market developments.
- Conducting financial analysis to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
