Category Growth Specialist


Job Description:

As a Category Growth Specialist, you will drive the success of our Consumer Brands portfolio across key retail and pharmacy channels. Your primary goal is to lead category growth platforms, shape product placement strategies, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful brand launches.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Category Growth Platforms in collaboration with your manager to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Execute 4P Category Success Model principles (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement) across priority categories to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyze data to uncover insights and opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Build and maintain customer/brand activation calendars with Sales and leadership teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Brand, and Marketing teams to deliver impactful brand launches that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Present category plans and new product opportunities to key retail partners to foster strong relationships and drive sales growth.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Business discipline, Marketing, or Project Management focus to provide a solid foundation for success.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in account management, brand management, trade marketing, or category strategy to demonstrate expertise.
  • Project management experience to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strategic and analytical skills to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
  • P&L literacy to understand financial implications and drive profitable decision-making.
  • Forecasting and demand planning skills to anticipate and respond to market trends and changes.
