Job Role Overview

As a Senior Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction. This position involves managing and growing product categories within a retail business.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to negotiate complex deals with key vendors and strategic partners.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive category growth and enhance the shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive category financial performance through data-driven decision-making
  • Build and nurture relationships with vendor partners to grow joint business
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations with key vendors and strategic partners
  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies to optimize terms, pricing, and promotions
  • Analyse market trends and customer insights to enhance shopping experience
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives while maintaining clear communication
Requirements

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • 7+ years of experience with Excel
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:

  • MBA
  • Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
  • 7+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
