HR/People & Culture Lead - High Growth Fintech

As this fast-growing fintech expands its presence across global markets, the time has come to appoint a seasoned HR/People and Culture Lead to own and evolve the HR function. This role will give you the autonomy to shape strategy, streamline operations, and make an impact on people, culture, business performance and employee experience.
The Opportunity
In this broad role, you'll be the driver of all things HR from compliance and onboarding to performance, engagement and leadership support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing an HR strategy aligned to business and people goals.
- Overseeing recruitment processes and supporting hiring managers, including job design, JD reviews, and recruiter coordination.
- Conducting onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and payroll.
- Handling day-to-day employee relations issues and acting as a trusted partner.
- Driving employee engagement initiatives and collaboration across teams.
- Developing and delivering learning and development programs.
- Conducting or facilitating employee training sessions.
- Managing the full performance management cycle.
- Advising on organisational structure, workforce planning and change.
- Ensuring compliance with workplace laws across Australia, the UK and Ireland.
- Engaging with legal advisers and updating policies as needed.
- Maintaining and updating HRIS (BambooHR), ensuring data accuracy.
- Analysing HR metrics and preparing workforce insights for leadership.
Experience Required to Make an Impact
- Generalist HR experience in a fast-paced or growing business
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, legislation, and compliance.
- Strong employee relations and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, EmploymentHero).
- A strategic mindset with a hands-on, delivery-first approach.
- Confidence advising leadership and influencing across the business.
- A passion for creating a positive, high-performance culture.
- This role is offered as a permanent opportunity but also to candidates looking for a 4 day-a-week or 9-day-fortnight engagement.
