Head of Human Resources | Sydney CBD | Up to $200k plus super

Are you a hands-on HR leader ready to step into a broader strategic role? Our client in the NFP sector, is seeking a Head of HR to join their Sydney Head Office and partner closely with the new CEO and COO. With a strong HRBP already in place, you'll lead, coach, and guide the HR function while staying connected to day-to-day operations.

This is a chance to shape culture, engagement, and employee experience in a company committed to wellbeing, growth, and professional excellence. You'll provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent, and organisational change, and play a pivotal role in sustaining a people-centric approach across the business.

What you'll do:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and ELT, contributing to strategy and organisational performance.
  • Lead recruitment, workforce planning, talent management, and succession initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, performance management, and culture programs.
  • Support organisational change, manage complex employee relations matters, and guide leaders through conflict resolution.
  • Oversee HR systems, compliance, policy development, and reporting, including remuneration and benefits.
  • Partner with WHS committees and manage workers compensation and return-to-work processes.

About you:

  • Experienced HR leader with both operational and strategic capability, ideally in a regulated or people-focused sector.
  • Skilled at navigating between executive-level expectations and frontline needs.
  • Confident managing complex employee relations, performance issues, and change initiatives.
  • Collaborative, approachable, and able to foster trust, stability, and a supportive workplace culture.
