The Opportunity:

Due to continual growth across our business, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanic to join our Thomastown team

Any given day may see you…

  • Diagnose and repair all mechanical problems with all assets within the branch, including troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems and ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Assist in the overall workshop safety, organisation, presentation, and cleanliness.
  • Keep accurate records of all works performed and maintain details maintenance reports and logs for all assets within the fleet.
  • Communicate with all departments and management to ensure timely repairs, maintenance, and minimising downtime of the assets.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including but not limited to urgent repairs, field service repairs as required, troubleshooting phone calls with customers.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies, trainings, and advancements in the industry,
  • Perform general yard duties, including inbounding, refuelling, cleaning of equipment, reporting damages.
  • HSE Reporting – e.g. incidents, near miss, injury, attending Monthly Toolbox Meeting

A highly experienced Mechanic that is wanting to become part of an expanding, inclusive and team focussed business.

They must:

  • Be a qualified Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic (highly desired)
  • Hold an Australian Drivers' Licence and Forklift Licence
  • Have a White Card – Construction Industry
  • Have a sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, be reliable, and possess team player values
  • Be outcomes focused and have the ability plan and keep organised
