About the role

We are seeking a skilled Workshop/Service Technician to join the team at Alya Access, a leading provider of access equipment solutions. As a Workshop/Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, cleaning and servicing of our diverse range of access equipment, ensuring our customers receive reliable and efficient service. This is a full-time position based in our Thomastown, VIC location.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repair work on a variety of access equipment, including aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts and telehandlers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, determining the most appropriate course of action
  • Providing on-site repair and maintenance services
  • Pressure washing plant and equipment before servicing or dispatch
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all work completed, including parts used and recommendations for future servicing
  • Work closely with the workshop team to ensure the efficient and timely completion of all tasks
  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  • Relevant trade qualifications, mechanical trade or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 years of experience as a Workshop/Service Technician, preferably in the access equipment or heavy machinery industry
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of access equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with customers and team members
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
