Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Thomastown. This role involves the installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance of a range of technical equipment and systems at client sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support, diagnosing and rectifying faults, and ensuring all work is completed to industry and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Prepare service reports and maintain accurate job records.
  • Liaise with clients to provide clear updates on job progress and equipment condition.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

  • AQF Certificate IV, or AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, OR at least three years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Proven experience in technical servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service tasks.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
