About the role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager, Commercial to join our Northern Region Sales team on a permanent full-time basis.
The territory covers Central/North/Mid Coast region (candidates should be based ideally in Newcastle or Central Coast), but when in the office, the base location will be Mayfield West.
This is a key role which reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager, NSW. In this role, you will be managing the sales function with primary focus on Commercial builder, developer, major plumber and some architect and designer, as well as merchant relationship cross-over. You will also be responsible for executing relevant strategic business and promotional plans in the commercial building segment to provide sustainable revenue/gross margin growth whilst developing and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.
About you
With 3-5 years of sales experience, specifically in the building and construction industry, you bring:
- Experience working with the GWA product ranges is highly desirable.
- Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and customers across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to influence business leaders, distributors, and retailers for enhanced commercial outcomes.
- Sales and marketing expertise, including the development and implementation of strategies and sales techniques, along with a solid understanding of product development.
- Effective people management skills
