About the Role

Due to recent growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Officer to support the core finance functions across the business. You'll need to be a detail-orientated and proactive individual to join our team that supports an 8-branch network across Australia & New Zealand.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the end-to-end Accounts Process for both entities.
• Manage the approval of invoices through the SAP Concur system, highlighting any discrepancies
• Verify all the required fields on the invoice and perform the general ledger and branch coding for SAP B1 purposes
• Review and manually submit any mismatched price/qty invoice scenarios and escalate if required
• Processing of invoices direct in SAP as required
• Pay and reconcile supplier statements and follow-up supplier if invoices are outstanding
• Preparation of payment forecasts
• Onboarding of new suppliers
• Processing of Vendor Returns/Credit Notes
• Accounts Payable contact for Suppliers and internally.
• Month End tasks for Accounts Payable as required
• Assist with Annual Audits
• Manage the drop-ship invoicing process
• Payment management – scheduling instalments, renewals in a timely manner
• Reporting as required

About You

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in end-to-end accounts payable and general accounts, familiarity with AP back-office systems, and a collaborative mindset with a strong desire to grow their broader finance skills.

To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• ERP systems or other accounts payable/receivable and general ledger modules (SAP preferred, but not essential)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong technological capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Confidence in problem-solving and identifying process improvements
• Strong negotiation skills combined with solid problem solving, analytical and decision-making ability
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Relevant qualifications desirable but not essential
