The role

The IT Helpdesk Officer supports Council operations through:

  • Providing professional and friendly customer service
  • Triaging and allocating Helpdesk requests
  • Providing basic training to users
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Council's systems and networks
  • Ordering and installing hardware maintaining inventory records of IT equipment
  • Providing after hours, emergency and on-call support as required
  • Assisting with implementation of approved IT projects

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • relevant experience and/or qualifications
  • ability to communicate effectively to discuss and resolve technical issues
  • ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • a current drivers licence
