About the role
  • Coordinate the end-to-end Statutory Duty of Candour process ensuring efficient and effective practices and identification of system improvement opportunities to reduce organisational and patient risk
  • Support the Patient Safety and Experience Team with open disclosure and patient & family interactions
  • Partner with divisional performance area to provide timely accurate and meaningful reports to various committees and audiences
  • Directly manage escalation of serious and complex complaints
  • Foster a culture of professional development, continuous improvement and leadership
About you
  • Strong understanding of relevant Victorian legislation relating to Statutory Duty of Candour and associated processes highly desirable
  • Understanding of process evaluation and ability to participate in and contribute to ongoing evaluation processes and continuous improvement highly desirable
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including an ability to prepare detailed reports, briefs and papers for a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a dynamic and high-functioning team, work effectively and cooperatively with others and establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external)
  • Proven approach to empathy and caring for others, with prior experience in patient/customer care
