Izakaya DOMO located at Melbourne's iconic GPO, is growing and we are seeking for a passionate, energetic, and creative Head Chef to lead our Japanese kitchen. If you are ready to bring your skills and flair to a dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you.
You will be responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen and provide professional and direction to kitchen personnel where required. You will also be required to ensure recipes, food preparation, and presentation meet our restaurant's specifications and have a high-level commitment to quality. You must also maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitised workspace.
What you will need:
- Great communication skills and an ability to work well as part of the team.
- At least 2 years Head Chef experience at the Dining restaurant.
- At least 3 years Japanese Restaurant Chef role.
- At least 2 years Izakaya Chef experience highly regarded.
- At least 3 year of Fish Cutting and Handling experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Japanese language skill is a plus
- Mon-Sun, 38 hours shift work.
- You must have a valid work visa(i.e. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident Visa or New Zealand Citizen....)
