Just an 80-minute drive from Melbourne CBD lies Hotel Frangos - a Daylesford institution. With its European vibe and Mediterranean menu designed to showcase the abundance of fresh regional produce, Hotel Frangos continues to flourish amongst the region's culinary offerings.

The Role

We are now looking for a 'creative' to take the reins and drive the offer and the team throughout our beautiful Hotel as Head Chef.

As Head Chef you will be at the forefront of delivering great, consistent and delicious food.  You will manage our kitchen team in a supportive and calm manner, be all over food costings, and work with both the front and back of house to train, nurture and develop the team.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Head Chef or Sous Chef experience in an a busy up-market environment
  • Strong management skills, and knows how to get the best out of their team
  • Someone all over their COG's and wage management
  • A natural leader who can work with both front and back-of-house staff.  Always working calmly, efficiently and creating a team environment - in busy and quieter times.
  • Alead-from-the-front attitude with the ability to inspire those working around you
