Sales/Business Development Manager (Solar Wholesale/B2B) for Northern QLD and NT

In the dynamic future market of solar energy and storage, we want to continue to grow in a targeted and ambitious manner over the coming years.To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for a full time:

About the role:

As a Business Development Manager you play a fundamental part in meeting our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives in Northern Queensland and NT. You will be taking care of existing accounts and are responsible for growing our presence in the area by bringing new customers on board.

We are looking for a people-person with natural sales and customer service skills, able to establish good relationships with existing and new customers. The ideal candidate enjoys being on the road visiting (potential) customers and drives sales with a proactive and go get it attitude.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and develop relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Increase sales volume, market share and profitability targets.
  • Generate leads/quotations/orders/sales.
  • Create new sales opportunities through research, lead generation and cold calling.
  • Promote product portfolio & services.
  • Provide consistently high level of customer service to clients and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for key contacts and clients (CRM)
  • Attend client visits, industry events, trade shows and conferences.

What we are looking for:

  • A self-driven people-person with a passion for sales and a drive to achieve challenging sales targets & KPIs.
  • Able to cold call customers on high frequency.
  • Enjoy the challenge of closing sales opportunities, and not afraid to go the over and beyond.
  • A structured and organized approach to sales & administration processes.
  • Ability to ask high quality questions, listen and sell persuasively.
  • Driven to succeed and strive for that next sale
  • Ability to prioritise workload with excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally, intra and interstate as required.

  • Experience working with a technical product, preferably in solar/batteries.

  • Holds a driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite of programs.
  • Sage or other ERP/CRM knowledge is an advantage.
  • You can be based anywhere in Northern QLD or Brisbane as long as you are willing to travel on a regular basis
  • Australian work rights are required for this position.
