About the role

  • This opening is for a Transport Administrator / Coordinator to join our team in Murrarie
  • This is a Full time, Permanent Role. The working hours for this role are 05:00 – 13:00 Monday to Friday
  • Manage freight-related queries from customers and key clients, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails, resolving customer inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Support coordination of freight runs by working closely with drivers to align delivery and pick-up schedules.
  • Assist team members in dispatch operations to ensure freight is dispatched on time and according to delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate set delivery runs with drivers, ensuring they are fully briefed and comfortable with their assigned tasks.
  • Engage directly with drivers—from small trucks to B-doubles—to provide operational support and maintain effective communication.
  • Monitor freight volumes to ensure they remain within capacity, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
  • Liaise with supervisors to organize additional vehicles when freight volumes exceed planned capacity.
  • Extract and analyze data from spreadsheets to support route planning and operational efficiency.
  • Generate operational and performance reports using Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Produce and maintain KPI reports to track delivery performance and service levels.
  • Utilize internal systems and software for routing assistance, administrative tasks, and data entry.
  • Maintain various spreadsheet trackers, compliance documents, and operational reports, ensuring they are regularly updated and accurate.
  • Educate customers on how to use self-service platforms and assist with general inquiries as needed.
  • Occasionally interact with customers to resolve delivery or freight-related concerns.
  • Ensure all freight is properly restrained in accordance with safety and compliance requirements.
  • Handle all customer and driver interactions with empathy, professionalism, and adaptability.

  • Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal and verbal communication with drivers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Problem Solving – Proactively handles delivery issues, volume challenges, and escalations with practical solutions.
  • Customer Service – Provides professional, empathetic support and educates customers on self-service tools.
  • Data & Reporting Proficiency – Skilled in using Excel and Power BI for reporting, data analysis, and KPI tracking.
  • Team Collaboration – Works closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Attention to Detail – Maintains accurate documentation, ensures load compliance, and supports system-based tasks with precision.
