ABOUT RECESS

We're a fast paced grab & go sandwich shop in Surry Hills, serving coffee, sandwiches, and salads.

Our mission is to provide everyday people with high-quality, convenient brekky & lunch options - and have a good time doing it

THE ROLE

We're after someone who can cover a bit of everything: serving customers, making coffee, making & toasting sandwiches, assembling orders, and jumping in wherever needed.

Shifts are around 3 days a week, with the potential for more if it's a good fit.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Front of house – greet customers, take orders, run food & drinks
  • Sandwich prep – follow recipes, assemble quickly and neatly, toast to order
  • Coffee – barista work if experienced, or training provided
  • General help – restocking, tidying, keeping service smooth

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years hospitality experience in a fast-paced environment (cafe / bakery / QSR or similar)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High standards of cleanliness and organisation
  • Comfortable switching between roles in a shift
  • A customer-centric approach
  • Positivity and enthusiasm
