Dental Receptionist/Front Desk Coordinator
5 days ago
Do you love connecting with people and keeping things organised, being the steady, reliable presence others can count on — while also holding firm when it matters? Are you someone who can balance warmth with professionalism, who cares for patients but also understands the importance of keeping the practice running efficiently? If so, we'd love to meet you.
We're looking for a warm, personable, reliable, and business-minded individual to join our team at The Dental Co as our next Front Desk Coordinator. This isn't just a "reception job" — you'll be the face and voice of our practice, helping patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they first contact us right through to completing their treatment.
About Us
The Dental Co is a progressive and well-established practice known for our high-quality care and genuine patient relationships. Located at the entrance to Chapel Street, we're part of one of Melbourne's most vibrant areas, with easy access to public transport and all-day parking.
We're a supportive, friendly, and down-to-earth team who value professionalism, respect, and reliability. We love to celebrate all wins, big and small, and take pride in creating a positive environment for both patients and our team.
The Role
This is a varied role that blends patient care with the smooth running of the practice. You'll greet patients, manage bookings, coordinate treatment plans, follow up enquiries, and assist with financial arrangements. A key part of the role is helping patients stay on track with their care so they can achieve the best outcomes — while ensuring the practice runs efficiently day to day.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every patient warmly and professionally
- Coordinate bookings, schedules, and treatment plans
- Handle patient accounts and financial arrangements
- Handle patient enquiries with empathy and professionalism
- Follow up treatment leads and outstanding care to support patients in moving forward
- Support the team with a range of administrative tasks
About You
- At least 2 years' experience in reception, admin, or customer service (dental/health experience is a bonus but not essential)
- Personable communicator who can balance warmth with professionalism
- Confident in handling challenging conversations when needed
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a busy environment
- Proactive and motivated to support both patients and the practice team
Perks & Benefits
- Above-award salary
- Long-term job stability
- Ongoing training and professional development
- Staff discounts on dental care and regular social events
- Supportive, down-to-earth team environment
Who This Role is For (Yes, This Part Matters)
Whether you're looking for a change or returning to work. Whether you want to grow or just want a stable role in a supportive team where you help people, keep things on track, and feel good about your day. If you're dependable, kind, commercially minded, and take pride in doing things properly — we want to hear from you.
