We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paraplanner to join our team on a maternity leave contract, with the potential for ongoing employment beyond the contract period.

This role primarily focuses on supporting our advisers with preparing financial advice documents, including Statements of Advice and Records of Advice. You will work closely with our advisers to develop strategies, conduct product research, and ensure accurate and compliant advice is provided.

While the key focus is paraplanning, the role will also include some administrative support to assist the broader team, such as preparing for appointments, managing paperwork, and general office duties.

Previous experience in financial services is preferred. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial planning and expand your practical knowledge across various financial products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with research and preparation of advice documents
  • Provide administrative and client service support to advisers
  • Organise appointments and prepare necessary documentation
  • Complete correspondence, applications, and compliance paperwork
  • Handle client and internal enquiries efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry in Xplan (experience preferred)
  • Support team members with general office and client-related tasks

About You

  • Previous experience in client service or administrative roles (ideally in a professional office)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and willing to learn
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • A team player with a proactive, helpful attitude
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Finance, or similar) preferred but not essential

Details

  • Part-time maternity leave contract (approx. 22.5 hours per week) commencing early to mid-November 2025.
  • Preferred workdays: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm)
  • Flexible work arrangements will be considered, including work from home/interstate within Australia
  • Potential for ongoing employment following the contract period
