Medical Foot Care is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and highly motivated receptionist to join our team. We currently have a permanent part-time position available for immediate start.

About the role:

The successful applicant will be joining a team of 6 podiatrists and 4 other receptionists across 10 clinic locations. You will be positioned at our Altona North clinic, located at Altona North Medical Hub: 6/230 Blackshaws Road, Altona North 3025. The role is 3 days per week, approx. 8 hour sessions, and typically 9am-5pm.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent customer service, supporting clinicians and keeping the clinic running smoothly. Successful applicant to commence immediately.

You will need proven customer service and reception qualities, with experience in the medical industry preferred but not essential. The role will include:

  • Welcoming patients and managing appointment bookings
  • Answering telephone calls & email enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Processing payments (via Eftpos and HICAPS)
  • Invoicing and reconciling third party payments (Medicare, DVA, Workcover, NDIS, TAC)
  • Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks
  • Maintaining general tidiness of the practice and help with sterilization of instruments
  • Assisting with other general duties as needed

  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in a medical or allied health setting is preferred but not essential
