Event Travel Management (CTM M&E) represents a complete service for all Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE), including face-to-face, virtual and hybrid event solutions. ABOUT THE ROLE
The key element of the Sales Manager, CTM Meetings & Events, role is to position CTM M&E as a leading provider in the MICE industry. The Sales Manager will achieve this by identifying targeted sales opportunities and developing sales strategies to grow our business nationally. Without question, they will focus their energies on working with their CTM M&E team members (BAS Managers, Account Managers and Leaders) to upsell into existing clients, acquire new opportunities and oversee the implementation of new business.
Some Sales Managers' simply sell the product. Our success in the market lies in our ability to tailor our offering to the client, aligning our offer to their strategic business direction. This is not a hard sell. Our service, product offering and competitive ability in the market, matched with an understanding of the clients' own requirements are a win-win sell. Our success proves we have a product and service offering that is a solid value proposition.
As highlighted above,tailored event travel solutions' is what CTM M&E is about, so you must have the ability to think creatively in your approach with clients. Our existing clients expect this from CTM. This will constantly be assessed in your ability to perform the role, aligned with your ability to understand the prospective client's business direction and resulting travel & event requirements.
We believe in our product, and it is the responsibility of the Sales Manager to ensure that our product matches the sell. Your ongoing input will be sought in this regard.
Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience with detailed understanding of the MICE market, travel industry, its key stakeholders and developing vertical market sales campaigns.
- Tertiary qualifications in business or a related field preferred
- A proven track record of sales achievement in MICE environment.
- Effective negotiation, budget creation, account plans, tender creation
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously to achieve organisational goals.
- Well established organisational management skills in being able to manage your time effectively to meet your clients and CTM M&E business needs
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Excellent customer service and communications skills both written and verbal
- Ability and experience working with relevant Client Relationship Management (CRM) software
