
National Sales Manager

About the RoleThis senior leadership role is responsible for driving national sales performance across a multi-channel business. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will lead a geographically dispersed team, oversee strategic planning and execution, and ensure alignment with broader commercial objectives.
You will play a key role in embedding a culture of sales excellence, leveraging CRM and digital platforms to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency. The role requires strong collaboration across internal departments including marketing, product development, procurement, and finance, as well as external stakeholders such as key customers, partners, and industry bodies.
Your ability to lead change, foster team development, and deliver commercial outcomes will be critical to success.
Duties
- Lead national and regional sales strategies & team
- Coach and mentor field sales team
- Build relationships with key stakeholders
- Drive CRM and eCommerce adoption
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams
- Deliver sales reporting and analysis
- Drive structure & sales best practice across the team
Skills and Experience
- Experience in senior sales leadership roles with a passion for people development & driving process improvement
- Background in trade distribution, manufacturing, agricultural or building products industries
- Proficient in CRM platforms and analytics
- Strong commercial and strategic skills
- Excellent communication and engagement
