Junior Estimator – Developer Builder | High-End Residential & Mixed-Use Projects

We're working with a well-established
developer-builder
that delivers design-led, large-scale residential and mixed-use projects across Sydney. With a strong forward pipeline and supportive leadership team, this is a great opportunity for a
Junior Estimator
to take the next step in their career.

The Role

You'll be working alongside a highly experienced estimating and pre-construction team, gaining exposure across
cost planning, tendering, and trade package measurement
. The role offers structured mentoring and the opportunity to learn the full estimating process from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate
    quantity take-offs and measurements
    from drawings.
  • Assist with
    subcontractor pricing, tender packages, and cost comparisons
    .
  • Support the estimating team with
    cost plans, budgets, and variation analysis
    .
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scopes to identify cost efficiencies.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source pricing and update cost databases.
  • About You
    2+ years' experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator within a
    developer-builder or head contractor
    environment.
  • Comfortable with measurement and take-offs.
  • Proficient in
    Excel and estimating software
    (CostX or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
