About the role

Our company is seeking an experienced Contracts administrator/Estimator to join our growing team in Sydney, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing strategic cost advice and oversight to support the delivery of large, complex construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for new construction projects
  • Administer live contracts including upstream/downstream invoicing
  • Manage all project procurement
  • Manage the tender process and oversee the work of junior estimators and contract administrators
  • Provide expert commercial advice to project managers and senior leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and drive efficiencies
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Monitor and report on project financials, identifying and mitigating risks
  • Mentor and develop the skills of junior members of the estimating team

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years' experience as an Estimator and/or Contracts administrator in the residential construction industry
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, risk management, and project controls
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proficient in the use of estimating software and MS Office suite
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
