We are partnering with a leading global cost consultancy seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist in data centre projects to provide accurate estimating, cost planning, and commercial support on high-value, technically complex projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical services estimating and proven experience working on data centre infrastructure, ideally within consultancy or contracting environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans for data centre projects
  • Review design and technical documentation to ensure accurate pricing and risk analysis
  • Collaborate with project teams, including QS, engineers, and project managers, to support bid and delivery phases
  • Apply industry best practice and maintain high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Contribute to tender submissions, value engineering, and commercial reporting
  • Support the development of junior estimators through mentoring and guidance

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator on data centre projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical services, HVAC, and building systems
  • Experienced in producing accurate cost estimates and value-for-money solutions
  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or relevant field preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
