ABOUT THE POSITION

In this Estimator role, you will collaborate with the estimating and project teams to prepare precise tenders and cost estimates. You will gain hands-on experience in cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and budget forecasting, while developing the expertise needed to advance into a senior estimating position.

DUTIES

  • Prepare tenders, take-offs, and cost estimates
  • Review supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive proposals
  • Work with senior estimators to develop budgets and cost breakdowns
  • Maintain accurate project cost records and assist in bid presentations
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure project success

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous exposure estimating commercial fit-out and new build projects is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (preferred)
