About the role

De Iuliis Wines is seeking a Casual Cellar Door Sales associate to join our team in Pokolbin, NSW. This is a casual position, with weekend work essential, and the opportunity to work in a vibrant and welcoming winery environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming customers to the cellar door
  • Providing exceptional customer service and sharing your knowledge of our wines – however, if you don't have any wine knowledge but a desire to learn, we can teach you the rest
  • Conducting wine tastings and helping customers select the perfect wines
  • Assisting with general cellar door operations, including inventory management and cash handling
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to alcohol service and cash handling responsibilities
  • Contributing to a positive and engaging cellar door experience for all our guests

What we're looking for

Australian work rights are required for this position

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the wine or hospitality industry
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers of all backgrounds
  • Excellent product knowledge or a keen interest in wine and wine tasting
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • A passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences
