About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our expanding Estimating Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow within the construction industry while being supported by a team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed tenders, estimates, and full scopes of work
  • Recommend alternative products and pricing options to meet client budgets
  • Provide precise cost estimates and planning advice based on client specifications
  • Use On-Center or BuildSoft Take Off software (training provided)
  • Liaise daily with clients and suppliers to ensure clear communication and up-to-date information
  • Keep clients informed on project quote progress
  • Collaborate closely with senior estimators and receive full on-the-job training

Requirements:

  • Estimating experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential
  • A strong understanding of construction materials and techniques is preferred
  • Sound cost planning skills and current knowledge of market rates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full working rights in Australia
