We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a JJ's Senior Accounts Administrator you will work in vital role in supporting our depot operations across the Sydney region.

Based at our administration office in Glendenning, you will be an experienced and reliable Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Officer; able to provide efficient day-to-day support to your team.

Working in a dynamic environment, you will have the ability to learn quickly, demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand, and have excellent problem solving and time management skills.

We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.

This position is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday; onsite in Glendenning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receiving, reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness before processing payments
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, adhering to payment terms and schedules
  • Communicating with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments
  • Ensuring all payments are properly authorised in line with company policy
  • Managing incoming payments, ensuring they are allocated correctly to customer accounts
  • Maintaining and updating customer accounts
  • Following up overdue accounts and working with customers to resolve outstanding payments
  • Reconciling customer accounts
  • General administration, data entry and office support
  • Answering telephones and responding to email enquiries
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence ensuring timely responses, appropriate follow up, escalations and preparing outgoing correspondence as required
  • Working closely with Operations, Sales, Administration and Management to ensure the flow of information
  • Other duties as requested

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working in a similar role - Accounts Administration (AP&AR)
  • Track record of being KPI and customer service focused
  • Demonstrates a high level of communication (verbal and written) and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritise and perform duties in a fast paced and varied role
  • Experience in working collaboratively, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Track record in creating strategies to drive and deliver continuous improvement
  • Moderate to advanced Microsoft Office capability and to learn new internal programs and technology
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, and commitment
