**Description**:
About the Job

The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and preparing and monitoring the accounts payable system.

**The key accountabilities include**:

- Review and verify invoices and check request
- Enter and upload invoices into system; sort, code and match them & set up for payment
- Track expenses and process monthly expense reports and assist with month end closing
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions, supplier accounts/transactions/statements
- Prepare analysis of accounts, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Research resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Correspond with vendors & maintain vendor files

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and experience:

- 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience (equipment sales/ rental industry experience advantageous)
- Knowledge of accounts payable & general accounting procedures
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office products (essential), SAP Ariba & Baseplan (desirable)
- Good communication skills with ability to build successful working relationships.
- Ability to manage and prioritise loads to meet the dynamic nature of the business
- Ability to work under pressure without a negative impact and ability to multi-task
