Accounts Assistant

Hours: 25–30 per week, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time

Time: Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm

Location: Glendenning, NSW

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at Borger Safety and Workwear. In this part-time role (30–35 hours per week), you will play a key part in supporting the smooth financial operations of the business, with a strong focus on purchasing and accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare purchase orders in MYOB and upload to supplier portals
  • Organise production sheets after purchase orders are finalised
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve backorder issues
  • Review overdue purchase orders and reduce backlog
  • Work with the warehouse team to manage inventory refills
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely payments
  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices and expense claims
  • Complete monthly supplier account reconciliations
  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounts team
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial information
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills
  • Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach
