ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is the beginning of an exciting career opportunity for a passionate and energetic person who has a strong work ethic and is driven to succeed. The scope of the role includes training in sales and operations as you follow a journey into a Business Development Executive role which will open future opportunities within the Mainfreight group.

This is a well sought-after role within our business and is not for the faint hearted. You must have a strong desire to grow a career in B2B sales in order to succeed in this position.

This role reports to and works closely with the New South Wales Manager of Business Development for Mainfreight Air & Ocean and will involve regular travel to our Sydney Branch for training, development and mentoring, as well as working collaboratively with our Orange based branch in order to grow the Mainfreight brand and customer base throughout Central West NSW.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Absolute passion in everything they do
  • Be self-motivated, dynamic and confident
  • Total focus on quality and customer service
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Personal responsibility for own and team performance to deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy meeting people and opening up business conversation - confidence and knowledge in front of the customer is critical
  • Genuine 'Can-do' attitude
  • Previous freight forwarding experience with a knowledge of Cargowise and incoterms will be considered favourably for this position, but is by no means compulsory for a candidate with the right attitude and desire to succeed
