Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Executive with a strong background in freight forwarding sales and a passion for building client relationships. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client partnerships, and collaborating with the operations team to deliver tailored logistics solutions. If you are a motivated sales professional with a proven ability to drive results in the freight forwarding industry, we invite you to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development:


• Identify and approach potential clients, including importers, exporters, and other businesses requiring freight forwarding solutions.


• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed individual sales targets.


• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities.


• Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective clients, ensuring alignment with company goals.


• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular updates and forecasts to the Sales Manager.

2. Client Relationship Management:


• Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing customised service solutions.


• Coordinate closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of client shipments and address any service issues promptly.


• Support the negotiation of pricing and service agreements, ensuring both client satisfaction and company profitability.


• Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold TGL's reputation for excellence in logistics solutions.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.


• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in the freight forwarding industry with a strong sales record.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decisions.


• Results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.


• Familiarity with logistics systems and CRM tools.
