The Property Assistant role supports the leading Caretaking Manager in maintaining the schemes to a high standard.
This role primarily involves assisting with cleaning, gardening, pool maintenance, building upkeep, and liaising with residents and contractors to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the complex.
Key Responsibilities
Grounds & Facilities Maintenance
Assist with cleaning of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and recreational areas.
Maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaping to ensure a neat and welcoming appearance.
Support with pool and spa maintenance, ensuring water quality and safety compliance.
Carry out minor repairs and report maintenance issues promptly.
Building & Asset Management
Assist in inspecting facilities and equipment to identify and report issues.
Support the caretaker in managing waste collection and recycling systems.
Help monitor lighting, plumbing, and air-conditioning systems.
Resident & Guest Relations
Provide courteous and professional assistance to residents and guests.
Communicate maintenance schedules or disruptions as instructed by management.
Assist with moving furniture or setting up areas for events if required.
Compliance & Safety
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Report hazards or incidents immediately to the office.
Ensure compliance with body corporate and property management rules.
Skills & Attributes
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high presentation standards.
Basic handyman or trade skills are highly regarded.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Physically fit and capable of performing manual work.
Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in property maintenance, hospitality, or caretaking preferred.
Current driver's license.
Pool maintenance, landscaping or WHS certification (desirable but not essential).
