
Site Supervisor

The Civil Site Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of on-site civil and geotechnical works, ensuring timely delivery of projects to specification, budget, and schedule.
Core responsibilities include:
Site Supervision
- Oversee daily on-site civil and geotechnical construction activities.
- Supervise rope access operations and act as the IRATA Level 2 or 3 Supervisor for all rope access tasks.
- Coordinate subcontractors, site personnel, and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all WHS, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Manage difficult access drilling operations including wagon/A-frame rigs, hand drilling, and spider/excavator-mounted rigs.
Ensure correct installation of:
Rockfall protection systems (e.g., meshing, catch fences)
- Soil nail installation
Ground support systems
Undertake and supervise fieldwork including:
Grouting and anchor installation
- Sampling (e.g., concrete, grout)
- Anchor testing
Safety, Quality, and Environmental Compliance
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and emergency response plans.
- Identify and mitigate site hazards including waste, contamination, and environmental impact.
- Conduct inspections and audits, report incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records (e.g., ITPs, inspections, incident reports).
Project Coordination and Reporting
- Liaise with project engineers, managers, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
- Monitor performance against project schedules and adjust as required.
- Plan and schedule resources, plant, and materials.
- Prepare look-ahead programmes and communicate updates to teams and clients.
- Provide technical advice and solutions to site challenges.
- Support staff development and maintain a positive team culture.
Documentation and Administration
- Maintain comprehensive and compliant site documentation.
- Ensure all project paperwork is up to date and stored according to company policy.
- Manage subcontractor compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Compile data and deliver progress presentations to stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- IRATA Level 2 or Level 3 Certification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights Certification
- Valid Driver's Licence (HC Licence desirable)
- Experience in rockfall barrier systems, drilling operations (DTH, top hammer, hand, and rig-mounted), soil nail installation, ground support systems (meshing, grouting, anchors)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and Construction Contracts
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations across Australia
