Jenner & Co is pleased to be partnering with one of our National 3PL clients to source there next Site Supervisor in Western Sydney.

The role will manage the site operational team including:

  • WHS
  • Team performance - Multi-client site
  • Employees at the site and staffing levels
  • Implementation of company policies and directives

Key responsibilities….

  • Understand the business in terms of why it exists and what it is setting out to achieve
  • Communicate the corporate objectives to staff to ensure all are working towards a common goal
  • Ensure adherence to the company policies that are initiated from national management

  • Support development of the annual business plan for the site operations which meet the company objectives for

  • Operating expenses

  • WHS objectives
  • Business performance efficiency
  • Respond to customer requirements to deliver customer value
  • Respond to short term planning initiatives by ensuring required local action is taken
  • Establish effective communication and clearly communicate business goals and work requirements to direct reports
  • Communicate all changes to existing and or new procedures to direct reports and ensure that required training is provided
  • Motivate staff to follow new initiatives and carry out business directions
  • Ensure new employees are inducted and receive training in their area of responsibility
  • Work with individual members of the team to determine appropriate job descriptions and performance indicators
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training activities for direct reports to ensure active succession planning and multi-skilling
  • Ensure that a safe and healthy work environment is provided and maintained at the site
  • Understand the systems, the reporting requirements and output
  • Contribute to organisational process improvement efforts
  • Identify opportunities for improving existing processes/procedures

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate, but also be hands on when needed
  • 3PL experience is essential
  • The ability to train and mentor direct reports to ensure they are able to achieve their goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Financial literacy with the ability to adequately react to peaks and troughs to maximise profit
  • A strong commitment to safety and the ability to nurture a positive safety culture
  • Strong customer service skills
