Site Supervisor

Our client is a multi-national company in the flooring industry. They are seeking a Site Supervisor who is responsible for the day to day supervision of project work completed on site, ensuring installation teams are furnished with the appropriate information, technical advice and documentation required to complete each project.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the co-ordination of deliveries to each site, liaising with clients, quality control, ensuring company WHS policies & procedures are adhered to. They will have broad responsibilities over the projects that they are in charge of as well as assisting with coordination of other project work if required.

**Key Functions & Responsibilities**
- Liaise with clients project managers / foremen as required to understand project requirements and ensure program dates are achieved
- Attend site meetings as required
- Supervise and provide support to subcontractors and installers on site
- Recruitment and allocation of jobs / areas to Subcontractors and Installers where required
- Liaise with contract administrators to ensure layers have all documentation required to attend site
- Ensure that site is inspected for readiness of installation including checking for floor preparation required and coordination of moisture testing
- Review and check quality of installed work and report internally any problems
- Review and act on defect reports and site instructions expediently
- Respond to written directions from builders in a timely manner, and maintain a record of progress on site where required
- Identify, cost and submit variation quotations for on-site works where appropriate
- Provide information to Contract Administrators in relation to scope changes or emerging project risks
- Review and verify subcontractor labour invoices and verify works completed
- Negotiate labour rates with subcontractors
- Liaise with Warehouse Manager to ensure all materials required are called in, with sufficient time to be cut and installed depending on program requirements
- Regularly review project details with contract administrators in terms of timing, materials and job specifications, identify risks and suggest improvements
- Provide information and reports to the general manager and directors as required
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures at all times, including toolbox meetings with installers and subcontractors
- Other duties as directed by management from time to time

**Relevant Qualifications / Experience - Preferred but not Essential**
- Certificate III in Flooring Technology
- Diploma in Building and Construction Management
- Diploma in Construction Management

Experience in commercial construction and other technical trade-based skills in addition may also be considered beneficial.

The salary is circa $90K plus superannuation plus a car allowance, mobile phone and laptop would be provided.
