Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Prestige Auto Works Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Melbourne | $90,000 – $120,000 (Experience-Based)

Are you ready to take control of one of Melbourne's most exciting high-performance automotive workshops? Prestige Auto Works is looking for a Workshop Controller to lead our elite team of technicians, manage workflow, and deliver next-level customer experiences.

This isn't your average dealership gig. At PAW, we work with high-end European performance and prestige vehicles, pushing boundaries in tuning, upgrades, and custom builds. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves problem-solving, and knows how to get the best out of a team.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

  • Owning the workshop rhythm – assigning jobs, setting timelines, and keeping the floor moving smoothly.
  • Working closely with Service Advisors to keep promises realistic and customers in the loop.
  • Keeping technicians sharp – mentoring, motivating, and making sure the team has what they need to perform at their peak.
  • Spotting and clarifying repair needs quickly and accurately, so nothing gets lost in translation.
  • Planning ahead for leave, training, recruitment, and busy periods so the workshop never misses a beat.
  • Making sure every job leaves the workshop finished to the highest standard and road-tested when required.
  • Staying on top of compliance, warranty requirements, and WH&S standards – no shortcuts.
  • Jumping on unresolved repair, parts, or equipment issues and working with the Service Manager to sort them fast.
  • Driving ongoing training and career growth for the technicians under your wing.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Technician or Workshop Controller, ideally with experience in a fast-paced workshop.
  • Solid mechanical and diagnostic know-how (you know your way around both the tools and the processes).
  • A leader by nature – someone who sets the bar high and leads from the front.
  • Sharp communication and organisational skills – clear, calm, and on point.
  • A proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure.
  • Manual driver's licence (non-negotiable).

What You'll Get in Return:

  • A salary between $90,000 – $120,000, matched to your experience.
  • The chance to work on some of the most exciting prestige and performance vehicles in Australia.
  • A role where you're trusted to run the show, no micromanaging.
  • A supportive, high-energy team culture with room to grow into senior leadership.
  • Ongoing training and development to keep your skills sharp and your career moving forward.

The Details:

  • Permanent residency or citizenship required.
  • Reference and AFP checks apply.
  • We value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.

If you've got the experience, drive, and leadership to take charge of one of Melbourne's most exciting workshops, we'd love to hear from you.
