Giant Hampton is Bayside's premier destination for all things bicycle related. We look after roadies, commuters, families and gravellers. We're a shop that aims to make cycling accessible to everyone, with our electric bikes proving popular too.

We're a team of bike fanatics looking for someone with mechanical experience to join us and help manage the ever increasing demand for our workshop.

As the face of the workshop, your role will cover:

  • Mastering the repairs and maintenance on a variety of bikes—from cutting-edge road bikes to electric bikes and more.
  • Helping customers with enquiries regarding the workshop (phone, email and in person)
  • Using your extensive knowledge of bicycle repairs to quote workshop jobs and custom builds, including parts and labour
  • Managing the diary and triaging walk-ins
  • Looking after special order parts for customers from our numerous suppliers
  • Collaborating with our Store Manager to ensure operations run smoother than a well-oiled chain.
  • Managing warranties with suppliers
  • Organising workshop stock
  • Test ride all bikes and quality control the work done by other mechanics

About you:

  • Proven experience as a skilled bicycle mechanic with a solid knowledge of bicycle repair techniques.
  • The ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain bicycles at a high standard.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with excellent customer service skills.
  • Genuine team player who thrives in a close-knit environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of bicycle repairs,
  • Enjoy talking to people
  • Cool under pressure
  • Polite and friendly, a clear and effective communicator
  • Computer savvy - we use an online diary and emails
  • Keen, passionate, some might say obsessed bike-rider
