Our OEM workshop is the backbone of operations that keep the world's resources moving. Now, we're looking for a dynamic Workshop Supervisor to guide our team towards even greater success.
In this role, you'll lead a high-performing, tight-knit team in production planning, inventory control, and workshop operations. You'll ensure delivery on cost, lead time, and quality — all while driving a safe, productive and accountable culture. This position is in our Profile cutting workshop.

Production & Inventory Management
- Plan and control production schedules to meet delivery expectations
- Ensure flow of materials and resources to match production demand
- Analyse and manage inventory levels, stock positioning, and sales forecasts
- Lead production planning and provide input into labour, tooling and equipment estimates
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and equipment
Workshop Leadership
- Supervise and mentor workshop staff to meet safety, quality and productivity standards
- Monitor team utilisation, approve time/leave, and manage resourcing needs
- Maintain effective communication and regular check-ins with team members
- Uphold FLSmidth standards across safety, equipment maintenance, and compliance
- Ensure only qualified personnel perform assigned work
Safety, Environment & Quality
- Conduct toolbox meetings and actively promote hazard identification
- Investigate incidents and ensure controls are implemented
- Supervise high-risk permits, emergency procedures and contractor compliance
- Maintain chemical and waste handling standards (reduce, reuse, recycle)
- Manage quality documentation, workshop orders, NCRs and traceability
- Proven leadership experience in a workshop or production environment
- Background in engineering, mechanical trades, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of planning, scheduling, and inventory control
- A safety-first mindset with working knowledge of risk management systems
- High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude
- Forklift, overhead crane, and first aid competencies (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience managing diverse teams
- Experience in heavy industry is preferred
