Job description:

Reporting to the Technical Training and Workshop Manager, you'll take charge of the daily operations of our Motorcycles and Power Products workshop, ensuring every task meets the highest standards of service and quality.

In this dynamic position, you'll be the driver of the workshop, coordinating schedules, overseeing timely completion of activities, and submitting key reports that keep everything running smoothly. You'll also play a pivotal supervisory role, guiding and supporting workshop associates to deliver their best work every day.

Profile description:

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead daily workshop operations, including job scheduling, capacity planning, stock control, and team supervision
  • Manage workshop finances in alignment with departmental budgets and approvals
  • Prepare and support operational reports for analysis and decision-making
  • Oversee product and parts movement, especially between the Melbourne Product Warehouse and the workshop
  • Ensure accurate documentation of labour, parts, and job notes in the Dealership Management System (DMS) and Repair Orders (RO), and coach technicians as needed
  • Process warranty claims for workshop warranty repairs and far-reaching recalls
  • Maintain workshop standards, including cleanliness, equipment upkeep, OHS compliance, and coordination with other departments

What you'll bring to Honda

  • 8+ years of relevant expeirence with proven supervisory experience
  • Trades Certificate (Mechanical) is essential
  • Sound knowledge of waste management, oil/chemical skills, wash bay management and emergency response
  • Proven experience leading and coaching a team of workshop-based professionals
  • Working knowledge of Office 365
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Competent written and verbal communications skills
