The Role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager with a successful track record, to join our high performing Team. This role will be responsible for driving business growth with a focus on new customer opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of perspective new business opportunities and customer base.
  • Develop international Key Accounts.
  • Target set verticals or trade lanes as required by the business.
  • Research and identify potential customers from local, domestic and international sources.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure correct implementation of new clients.
  • Generate and respond to sales leads from overseas.
  • Maintain a high level of activity to achieve set targets.
  • Ensure data is updated in company databases and CRMs.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales and business development in the AU Freight industry.
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
  • Experience in managing sales visits/sales pipelines/sales reporting via CRM sales tool.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Resourceful and result oriented.
  • A positive team player.
