Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Think & Grow Full time $200,000 - $250,000 per year

A fast-growing non-bank lender is transforming the Australian lending landscape with a broker-first approach that prioritises flexibility, speed, and innovation. As the business scales its next-generation lending platform, we're seeking an exceptional Chief Product and Technology Officer to drive the product vision and technology strategy—delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower brokers and borrowers nationwide.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fintech company at a pivotal moment, backed by institutional confidence and built on a foundation of agility, strong governance, and a genuine culture.

The Opportunity

As CPTO, you'll be the architect of the product and technology future. You'll define and execute the product vision while overseeing technology infrastructure, platform architecture, engineering, and digital capabilities. This is a leadership role where you'll balance strategic product thinking with technology operational excellence, driving both the "what" and the "how" of the roadmap. You'll oversee platform architecture, engineering teams, digital infrastructure, user experience, and data capabilities—ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, and broker- and customer-focused.

What You'll Drive

  • Shape and deliver the end-to-end platform roadmap with precision, speed, and reliability.
  • Build scalable, resilient systems that automate manual processes, reduce cost-to-serve, and enable growth in loan volumes.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset across your teams. Deliver seamless, intuitive digital experiences that drive broker satisfaction, loyalty, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with credit, risk, distribution, and operations leaders to ensure platform outcomes align with business goals. Bridge technical and commercial perspectives to drive unified success.
  • Ensure the platform and all technology developments meet legal, regulatory, and internal risk requirements around data security, privacy, credit risk, and auditability. Maintain oversight of technology architecture, vendor relationships, and third-party partnerships.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire high-performing product, engineering, and platform teams.

Essential Experience & Capabilities:

  • Proven track record in product and technology/engineering leadership at an executive level
  • Deep expertise in financial services, ideally lending, mortgages, or non-bank finance, with strong awareness of regulatory requirements
  • Experience driving data-driven decisions using insights from brokers, customers, and operational metrics
  • Excellence in stakeholder leadership across risk, credit, operations, technology, and finance functions
  • Strong expertise in modern engineering and platform practices: cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, APIs, automation, and architecture
  • Adaptability to respond to market, regulatory, and competitive pressures, with the ability to prioritise and pivot effectively
  • Outstanding communication skills to translate product vision and technical concepts across diverse audiences

Ready to Build the Future?

This is your chance to join at an inflection point, where your product and technology leadership will have immediate, tangible impact on the platform, people, and market position.

To apply, please submit your CV outlining your relevant experience and why this opportunity excites you.
