ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced BA Practice Lead/Manager to play a pivotal role in connecting business leaders with delivery outcomes. This position will manage and guide a pool of Business Analysts (typically 6+) while building strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation. Operating at the leadership group level, you will partner closely with the Change and Training Lead to ensure alignment of initiatives and drive business engagement strategies. This role requires someone who thrives on collaboration, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and is passionate about building capability while gaining a deep understanding of business operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts, providing coaching, direction, and support.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with senior leaders, acting as the primary point of contact for business engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Change and Training Lead to align stakeholder engagement strategies with organisational objectives.
  • Build and maintain capability maps to support business functions and future planning.
  • Actively participate in operational activities to understand processes, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive consistency and best practices across analysis and engagement activities.
  • Champion open communication, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed and met effectively.

MORE ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, business partnering, or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong people management skills, ideally with experience leading a pool of Business Analysts.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership levels.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage directly with business operations rather than focusing solely on team management.
  • Experience in building capability frameworks, business capability maps, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with change, training, and delivery functions to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a passion for driving engagement and delivering business value.
